PickNewYork began with a personal observation rather than a business plan.
We noticed that in everyday life we kept returning to the same clothes: not because they were fashionable, but because they were reliable. Pieces that worked from morning to evening, across different places and changing plans. City life, travel, work, long walks and spontaneous moments rarely fit into a fixed schedule, and we didn’t want a separate outfit for each situation.
Over time, this way of dressing shaped our perspective.
We started to think of clothing not as individual items, but as a single wardrobe: a system where everything works together naturally. Each piece had to feel right in motion, easy to combine, and comfortable enough to forget you’re wearing it.
PickNewYork grew from this idea.
